Around 25,000 homes in south-east Queensland found themselves without power on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the state, bringing wind gusts reaching 109km/h.

Residents witnessed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Emergency response teams responded to nearly 600 calls for help across the area, mostly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and water accumulation.

At the height on the previous day, more than 28,000 energy customers in Victoria were lacking electricity.
Climate Outlook
Damp conditions were forecast to persist along large portions of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was predicted as the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential anticipated across various areas of both regions.
Health Warning
Medical authorities alerted that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
